Fees
Therapy
Fees for therapy vary depending on the practitioner and range from $140.00 to $235.00 per hour. Sessions are booked in one hour blocks (50 minutes per session plus 10 minutes paperwork).
Assessment
The fee for psycho-educational assessment services is approximately $2925.00 and includes initial interview, testing sessions, report writing, and feedback interview.
We currently offer low fee services for individual therapy.
Insurance
Psychological and counselling services are not covered by OHIP. Services provided by psychologists and psychotherapists may be covered by most extended health insurance plans (i.e., Sun Life, Manulife etc.). Psychotherapists at KPCC practise under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Extended health care plans differ, so please check yours regarding coverage and claims procedures (i.e., whether a letter or referral from your family physician is required, details required on receipts etc.). The fees for psychological services are exempt from GST and constitute a tax-deductible medical expense. Therefore, on your annual tax form, you can claim the portion of your fees that were not covered by your extended health insurance plan. Please note: we are unable to carry out direct billing (e.g., WSIB claims) at this time.
