Mandie Aldridge
M.A. Psych Psychometrist/Bilingual Behaviour Consultant
With over 15 years of experience working with children with exceptionalities and varying learning styles, I bring empathy, compassion, respect, patience, and fun to my practice. My objectivity allows me to effectively measure skills, knowledge, abilities, attitudes, personality traits, and educational achievement, providing reliable and valid test results.
Care for clients and their mental health is at the forefront of all my interactions and assessments, always ensuring clients feel safe and secure. I strive to support the whole individual and family by creating, implementing, and offering post-diagnosis support for multiple facets of clients’ lives.
In the psychometrist role, I assist psychologists conducting psychoeducational assessments by ensuring the accurate assessment of psychological functioning, including cognitive abilities, information processing, academic achievement, and socio-emotional and behavioural functioning. I provide detailed behavioural observations to aid in the interpretation of psychological tests.
I also provide behaviour consultation services, which involve providing support to caregivers to address challenging behaviours and teach adaptive skills to children with identified academic, social, emotional, and self-regulatory struggles. The primary goal is to improve the quality of life of the individual and those who care for them by facilitating durable changes in socially significant behaviours.
