Olivia Gardam
Ph.D Practicum Student in Clinical Psychology
I am a Ph.D. practicum student in the clinical psychology program at the University of Ottawa. I provide bilingual, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to children, adolescents, and families. My clinical work is performed under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca Moore. My areas of interest and practice include difficulties with mood, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and emotion regulation, as well as behavioural difficulties and neurodevelopmental concerns (e.g., ASD, giftedness, learning disabilities). I also have experience working with parents to help address their parenting challenges. I use a strength-based and individualized approach with my clients to best address their needs.
Prior to working at Kanata Psychology and Counselling Centre, I have worked with individuals, families, and groups in private practice and community settings. My doctoral research centers around the impact of protective parental practices on children’s body image and eating habits.
