Trudy Chang
From a young age, I have been drawn to meaningful one-on-one conversations and to understanding people’s unique stories. In my practice, I use a person-centered approach, recognizing that you are the expert of your own life, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in your journey. My perspective on the counselling relationship is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where trust can grow. I aim to provide you with the time and openness to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through this process, I hope to foster opportunities for reflection, growth, and healing.
As I begin my professional practice, I have interests in Grief Counselling, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. I offer psychotherapy in English, both in-person and virtually.
I am a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist (Practicum Student) and am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, with experience supporting both adults and teenagers in Ottawa Catholic and Eastern Ontario Catholic high schools.
My practice is supervised by Scott McCleert M.A., R.P., CCC., and Dr. Rebecca Moore, C.Psych
